The Old

Why do we have a hard time to leave a relationship that does not work? Why do we not accept that we are talented? Why do we reject being paid well? Why do we not want to see our beauty? Why do we not accept how strong we are? Why are we not able to see that we are intelligent? Why can’t we accept that we are attractive? Why do we do things we do not like to do? Why do we not reach for the impossible? Why do we not love ourselves? Why are we afraid of the future? Why do we choose hardship before joy? Why do we not feel that we deserve the best? Why do we not strive for happiness? Why do we believe life is suffering? Why don’t we always speak our truth? Why are we afraid of death? Why do we have all these principles? Why do we have an illusion about ourselves? Why do we try to find happiness in material things?

Why? Why do we not want to let go of our limiting ideas and beliefs? Why do we not want to change?

We are programmed and we found safety in our programming. Even though we are suffering we know what we get, we are used to it. We have surrendered to a life of pain because that is all we know.

We much rather suffer and stay with the old then let ourselves fall into the unknown.
