Flying By

Another day flew by. Got only four hours of sleep last night and will probably fall over after I drop off the equipment that I used for the shoot today tomorrow.

On my long taxi ride home from the location I started to think about how fast time flies by. Another day, another week, another month, another year goes by and it feels as short as the blink of an eye. Two days ago an old friend of mine Ilaria Pagnan left me a comment to the “Crossroad” post. Of course I do remember you Ilaria. For a couple of months she stayed with her then boyfriend now husband in the same loft as I did in Downtown Manhattan. It feels like it was yesterday but it was almost ten years ago.

What has happened? Where did 2004, 2006, 2007 go? I have no idea. And how fast will this year fly by? It is already March. These are the moments when I question reality. Can time be real? It is real to our bodies. We are born age and die. But at the same time part of me is still the same as when I was this six years old boy growing up in the German Alps. There is a part of me that does not change.

Do we have any time to waist? Life goes by so fast and time is so limited at least for the body. Can we afford to do what we do not want to do? Can we afford not to go for what we want in life? Can we afford not to talk to this girl or guy we see on the street that we are attracted to? Can we afford not to live our dreams? Can we afford not to do the things we must do?

We think we have time to do it later but time is flying by.
